_* Bringing back the Memories *_
- Tuesday, December 05, 2006 / 2:20 pm.
I'd be the 1st to admit, being away from sg made me truely appreciate how much i miss and love this country. Yes, for the ease of the transportation, the brilliant nightlife, the food array, the clubs etc. But mostly, its really becuz being away made me miss everything that i took for granted.
The clubs would not have been that fantastic for me if it wasnt for my dear friends. For they have been there to experience with me, to enjoy and get high. But its becuz, each time we went clubbing, we make a memory. That futhur down the road, we recall and remember with fondness. Jokes, hilarious moments, teases or meeting new people. It always makes a mark. With each grp of friends, i experience clubs differently, meet people from different walks of life.
The food, eaten, tastes so good, but the atmosphere during the makan sessions, i truely love. Sit and joking ard, catchin up on ol' times, sharing news and thoughts. Truely, its what makes the mark of friendships stronger. Its not the meal or where its eaten that counts, its whom u're with and whats the talk, that does. Each moment, i hold close to me, loving it, knowing that i'm surrounded by ppl who cares and whom i care for. Be it with the couzzies, the parents, the friends or just plain eating at home with the aunts. Its just nice to sit and joke and catch up. Isn't it?
That said, there are still a few things that i have yet to do. Wala-ing, Gardens Tei-ing, Swensen's supper with the darlings, and checking out the new chill-out places. But hey, i have loads to time to do it now, no pressure no stress. Taking life easy as a pill.
Thank you to everyone who has keep me sane during the time away.
The parents for their weekly calls and buggers, despite how much i hate their nagging, i still love having their calls. For their unconditional love and no questions in my decisions. My choice to go to brisbane for studies did not come with any hurdle, no stopping, no questions, no whys, no are-you-sure? Just, ok, plan it out, let me know and how much do u need each sem. The way they are, how much they give to me, i can never repay. As a friend once said, children are a risky investment, the return u get based on modern situations are generally 0.01. Thats why i am, determine to break that stitch.
For the friends whom were with me along the way. The ones who knew me well. Jol, for her understanding each time i send an email. It wasn't easy to catch one another on the phone, but email proved to be just as effective. I knew i can count on her for understanding my decisions. She may have made a couple of threats to my wrong choices, but in the end, i know she'll support me no matter what. Graces, for being my bridge across waters, listening to my woes every week and telling me off where its needed. I can tell her everything and anything under the sun. Jiahui, regardless of what time my msgs are send, she'll come back with a response that tells me she's there for me, for calling me back with just a msg sent. LL, depsite being seperated by a vast amount of land, u were the only one whom truely understand what i goes through living with hsemates, with uni, with life in aussie, cuz we're in the same boat. Shirls, for her sacarstic remarks when i truely need them, when i need to bitch badly and curse horribly about something, for when i need to share thoughts/decisions where i know she'll be moving along the same line as me. Ah Boo, listening to my whines and sorrows, the pink msn replies, always being there, msn online. Faith, coming over and bringing me away from the hse, even just for a nite, sharing little tidbits in person, calling/msning me and telling me she's alive and wanting to know if i am too. Pauline, encouraging me when the going gets tough, reminding me that it will soon all end, just to work through it.
Them and all the friends who've been there on-off basis. 1.5yrs have truely passed with a bang for me, for i have become a
GRADUATE.
