As the day draws nearer, the slight depression increases. Though that said, if i look back at my life since passing 21, i'm glad to say i do feel accomplished. Since turning the big 2-1. I've
- Gotten my degree
- Gone on a travel holiday alone, planned & decided myself
- Lived a period of time overseas
- Gotten my driver's license
- Climbed a notch up the corporate career level
Doesn't seem like a lot to some, but to me, its a great deal. I've lost and gained so much within the past 2 yrs, in many ways, i've learnt more about myself, learnt how far i can be stretched, how weak i can become, how to make the impossible, possible for myself.
Back to the topic of dread. I'd know another reason why i kinda dread the day, cuz i wld need to rack my brain on my bday wishlist. That being said, i'd really have no idea exactly what material wants i want at this point of time. To be frank, what i want, i'd already have. So, to cut short, i'll just hint on areas that needs improvement or certain items i'd guess:
New workspace that needs some brightening up.Updated: *yikes* office workspace is gonna be shifted soon.- Seat/Back cushion for my office chair.
Neck massager.Updated: Osim's coming, courtesy of Aunt No. 2!- Starbucks vouchers in $5 denominations (My love for coffee never dies!)
- A good pillow for neck support.
Little gadgets for my car. (Currently its a Mazda 6; i hope to change it to a Honda Jazz or Suzuki swift sports by yr end)Updated: Outz, mom's a nagging.Coach wristlet. (i have my eye on one)Updated: Strike One to the USA girl.- VS gift card.

2 days into my new work life and i've learnt more than i can absorb.
Who knew that life in Operations was that difficult.
Basic overview of my work:
I'm the middle person for onboarding this project, between the developers & the end users. Yes! i've become a techie. Oracle, OS, DB. All this acronyms are essential to my work. I deal with Admin, OI, AM, DM etc. Basically, everyone in da bank wld need to know me, cuz i am the hotline when my 'baby' goes live.
Prep work is underway and i've got loads to do. Day in day out. But i'd guess something i'm most excited about is that i FINALLY have my OWN extension, with VM. Haa, finally a workspace to call my own, after sharing a workspace with others for eons of years! Its time to deco! haaa. "Hint Hint: Bday coming up, i need cusions, hp holder, accessories." Conference call meetings are the oxygen for my work. Had my 1st team meeting today with folks in from jap, hk & aussie, imagine 12 ppl in 1 call. Yupz, seems like chaos, but somehow, its seriously so organised, cuz we listen and read the agenda from our blackboard. Cool sia.
GH, i'd finally know what u are doing already. Cuz me = to ur client coordinator. I pray that all goes well, loads to do and if i do things well, its 'hello travelling' for me during year end. And even better when its launched globally. *grinz*
Ok, its back to work for me le. I'm starting to hate spreadsheets, excel & powerpoint. So much effort required to make a screen looks professional that is only looked at for like 10mins tops, when doing it takes at least an hour. *arrrrgggg* Its an early morning for me tmr, super idiotic to have a submission deadline at 9am. GISSHH.
So peeps, if u're in or ard Capital Tower during lunch, do drop me a note. I'll be glad to pop down for a quick coffee. Heee. How fantastic is to have Starbucks right at the life lobby doorstep.

A Citi girl no more.
13th May shall be my last day.
Sad i am, to leave my comfort zone.
The place that brought me my income for the past 4yrs.
But most importantly, many of the peeps i shall miss.
All my mama(s), whom been like elder sisters i'd never had.
The UM(s), whom doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.
And importantly, the Shifters, whom are like family.
That office was a big parcel of my life for since mid-poly til now.
The experience learnt, i'd know i'd never forget.
Its time to look forth to new ones.
Off to Capital Tower i will be.
So peeps downtown, drop a hollar if u're around the vicinity.
Most especially for lunch buddies.

Thank god there's dinner with friends and zouk to look forward to.
