Balance

There's always talks about work-life balance, how one shdn't become a workaholic and neglect 'me' time. Or the other way round, have too much 'me' time and neglect work. But the latter seldom happens in this kiasu society..
However, for me its never about find work-life balance, i've got that one down pat as my 4yr stich at citi taught me. Til date, its finding the balance between love, family and friends that baffels me. In the past 6yrs, the situations always happens this way:
- When family life is at peace (eg: not at war with my parents) and love life is moving on blissfully, my friendships becomes spins of tornado.
- When friendships are a blast and i'm feeling the rock, my love life becomes a choppy sea and the war's raging at home.
I seem to come to a conclusion that i can never have it all. Cuz this time, one more situation becomes apparant: Family life is smooth-sailing, friendships are a rock BUT love life drops down the cliff.
I'm frankly getting very tired of all this. Perhaps its time i let it all go.

My first (and definately my last) trip up that was absolutely NOT satisfying.
For 2 simple reasons:
I DID NOT MANAGE TO EAT A GOOD PLATE OF CHEE CHONG FUN NOR BOWL OF KUAY TEOW SOUP!!! *BAWLS*
This has never happened since the time the first trip having my
kuay teow soup.
I am absolutely upset and horrified that i'd managed to let this happen.
BAAAHHH!
I may seem very melodramatic here, but imagine this: paying $300+ for airfares, back to a place where i go only once or twice a year, and the ONLY place that sells decent food everywhere and for 3 days there, not even having a DECENT meal. Gedit? Its like an LV fanatic going to Paris, walking by the flagship store at
Champ Elysees and NOT stepping into the store. Never happened and never should happen.
